The primary purpose of an Internet exchange point (IXP) is to allow networks to interconnect directly via the exchanger rather than through one or more third-party networks. The primary advantages of direct interconnection are cost, latency, and bandwidth. With strong global partnerships Voiped Telecom provides a source to connect European customers directly to an IX enabling the transit of international traffic using the border gateway protocol (BGP) of peering.
